With 41 podium finishes in his career, Massa was the first athlete to join the Richard Mille family. As a long-time test driver for Richard Mille watches, he played a crucial role in the brand's remarkable advancements in watchmaking.

These achievements include the creation of a carbon nanofiber baseplate, initially tested in the RM 006 FM and later used in other models, as well as the development of new materials like the Alusic cases in the RM 009 FM.

Released in 2015, this commemorative model is limited in production and embodies the brand’s commitment to cutting-edge innovation and motorsport excellence.

The case measures 50mm x 42.7mm x 16.15mm and is crafted from ultra-lightweight Carbon TPT, known for its superior resistance to shocks and its distinctive layered visual texture. This high-tech material is complemented by a titanium caseband, enhancing the watch’s durability and ergonomic profile while reducing weight—ideal for high-performance environments.

The skeletonized dial showcases the RMAC1 automatic movement with flyback chronograph functionality, allowing for instant resetting of the chronograph hands without stopping the mechanism. The dial features a 60-minute countdown timer at 9 o’clock, 12-hour totalizer at 6 o’clock, a central chronograph seconds hand, and an oversize date display at 12 o’clock with an annual calendar function.
