Sell Your Rolex Yacht-Master Watch

The Yacht-Master is Rolex's nautical-themed sport reference and one of the most materially distinctive lines in the catalog. Since its 1992 launch, the Yacht-Master has carried a different positioning than the Submariner: a bidirectional rotating bezel for tracking elapsed time on a sailing course, an unusually heavy emphasis on precious-metal and two-tone configurations, and a recurring willingness to introduce materials and constructions that Rolex has not used elsewhere, including the Rolesium steel-and-platinum bezel pairing in 1999, the Everose Oysterflex combination in 2015, and the first RLX Titanium production reference in 2023. The collection also encompasses the Yacht-Master II 44mm Regatta Chronograph, with its programmable countdown for race starts. Selling one is a different conversation than selling a Submariner or a more traditional sport Rolex, and Wrist Aficionado is built for exactly that nuance. Send us a few details and clear photos and our specialists handle the rest. Whether you own a 126622 Steel with Platinum bezel, a 226627 RLX Titanium, a 226659 White Gold, a 116655 Everose on Oysterflex, a 268622 Yacht-Master 37, or a Yacht-Master II 116680, your watch ends up in the right hands.

Why Sellers Choose Wrist Aficionado for Their Rolex Yacht-Master

Selling a Yacht-Master is rarely a routine transaction. The collection spans 37mm, 40mm, 42mm three-hand variants and the 44mm Yacht-Master II Regatta Chronograph, individual references trade very differently by material and case size, and condition factors specific to the bidirectional bezel, the Oysterflex strap on Everose references, and the new RLX Titanium construction all carry weight. Sellers tend to come our way for a few specific reasons:

  • Buyer Reach Where the Yacht-Master Actually Trades: Active clients across North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, the regions where Yacht-Master demand is concentrated, give your watch immediate, qualified visibility.
  • Reference-Level Knowledge Across the Yacht-Master Catalog: Our team works with the full Yacht-Master lineup, from the Yacht-Master 37 references 268622 and 268655 through the Yacht-Master 40 in steel-platinum 126622, Everose 126655, two-tone 126621 and earlier 116-series generation, the new Yacht-Master 42 references including the 226627 RLX Titanium, 226658 Yellow Gold, 226659 White Gold, and 226679TBR diamond-set variant, and the full Yacht-Master II catalog.
  • Material-Aware Inspection: Stainless steel with platinum Rolesium bezels, Everose Gold cases on Oysterflex, full precious metal references, and the new RLX Titanium each have distinct authentic visual signatures. We know what original case finishing should look like and how aftermarket polishing affects valuation.
  • Bezel and Strap Inspection: The Yacht-Master's bidirectional bezel function, insert condition, and Oysterflex strap integrity all factor into valuation. Our specialists evaluate each as part of every inspection.
  • Fully Insured Logistics: Every transaction is protected by fully insured shipping, secure handling, and complete documentation. Non-negotiable for pieces of this caliber.
  • Honest, Direct Communication: No surprise deductions, no fine print buried in the offer, no pressure tactics. Just clear, straightforward conversation throughout.
  • Multiple Paths to Sell: Choose between an outright purchase or consignment through our global network, whichever better fits the result you want.
  • Hands-On Inspection by Rolex Specialists: Each Yacht-Master is personally evaluated by our team, with attention to case integrity, dial originality, bracelet or Oysterflex condition, movement signatures, bezel function, warranty card and matching paperwork, and any service documentation.

About the Rolex Yacht-Master

The Yacht-Master was introduced by Rolex in 1992 with a full yellow gold case, the brand's first explicitly nautical-themed sports reference and a deliberate departure from the Submariner's diver positioning. Where the Submariner used a unidirectional bezel for tracking dive time conservatively, the Yacht-Master adopted a bidirectional rotating bezel for measuring elapsed time on a sailing course. The early collection was full precious metal only, with stainless steel and steel-and-gold Rolesor configurations following later in the 1990s.

The defining material moment in the Yacht-Master's modern history came in 1999 with the introduction of Rolesium, a stainless steel case paired with a platinum bezel. The Rolesium configuration became one of the most recognizable Yacht-Master variants and continues today on the 126622. In 2015, Rolex introduced the 116655 Everose Yacht-Master on the new Oysterflex bracelet, the brand's first use of the high-performance elastomer strap with metal blades, which has since spread to other Yacht-Master and Sky-Dweller references.

The Yacht-Master II 44mm Regatta Chronograph launched in 2007 brought a different watch entirely into the collection. The Yacht-Master II is a programmable countdown chronograph designed specifically for the race-start sequence in competitive sailing, with a mechanically programmed memory function controlled by the Ring Command bezel. The 116680, 116681, 116688, and 116689 cover the steel, two-tone, yellow gold, and white gold variants of the Yacht-Master II.

The Yacht-Master 42 program launched in 2019 with the 226659 in White Gold, followed by the 226658 in Yellow Gold and the diamond-set 226679TBR. In 2023, Rolex introduced the 226627 in RLX Titanium, the brand's first production titanium watch and a significant moment for the Yacht-Master program. The Yacht-Master 37 references 268622 in Rolesium and 268655 in Everose round out the collection at the smaller end.

What makes the Yacht-Master distinctive on the secondary market is the combination of unusual material configurations, the breadth of case sizes from 37mm to 44mm, and the cultural weight of certain references including the new RLX Titanium 226627 and the original Rolesium configurations. Individual references trade very differently from one another, and the reference and material you own determine almost everything about how the watch sells.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Yacht-Master and Yacht-Master II are listed in the same collection but are very different watches. Do you buy both, and how does demand compare?

Yes, we actively buy both lines, and they appeal to distinct collector bases. The Yacht-Master three-hand references in 37mm, 40mm, and 42mm are the more traditionally collected line, with consistent demand across the steel-Rolesium 126622, the Everose Oysterflex 126655, the new RLX Titanium 226627, and the full precious metal 42mm references. The Yacht-Master II 44mm Regatta Chronograph attracts a more specialized buyer pool, with demand concentrated around sailing collectors and those who appreciate the programmable countdown complication. Production volumes, configuration, and condition all factor differently between the two lines.

How much is my watch worth?

For this reason, we don’t provide an off-the-cuff ballpark range over the phone, chat or email. If you would like to get an accurate quote for your watch, just fill out the form above, and our valuation team will get back with you shortly.

What kind of watches do you accept?
