The RM 67-02 was introduced in 2017 as the next evolution of Richard Mille's extra-flat automatic — a reference built specifically around lightness, low profile, and real-world athletic wearability. Built around the in-house caliber CRMA6, the movement measures roughly 3.6mm in thickness, allowing for an exceptionally slim overall case profile within Richard Mille's signature tonneau silhouette. Combined with carbon and quartz composite case construction, the watch is among the lightest pieces in the brand's catalog.
The reference made its name through a series of athlete-partnership editions, each developed alongside an elite competitor and intended to be worn in actual competition. The roster includes Wayde van Niekerk, the South African sprinter and 400m world record holder; Mutaz Essa Barshim, the Qatari Olympic high jumper; Sébastien Ogier, the multi-time World Rally champion; Alexander Zverev, the German tennis professional; and Alexis Pinturault, the French alpine skier.
