Tantalum resists machining and blue is the most difficult color to hold on a dial at all, so the combination was the whole point rather than a decoration. It was made for the 2015 auction and only one exists.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTantalum at 40 mm, a metal that is dense, hard to cut and almost never used at this level of watchmaking at all. Against it the dial reads chrome blue, with whitened guilloché silver kept for the time and the seconds.
